Wedding favors are becoming less popular for many couples this year. The favors dip into your budget and oftentimes are left behind by the guests. For larger weddings specifically, wedding favors can soak up your money fast. So, if you’re wanting to stray away from these favors that are left behind, here are some wedding favor alternatives!
1. Photo Booth
A photo booth is a great way to replace wedding favors and allows your guests to walk away with some memorabilia as well! You could even have extra pictures printed from each guest and create a scrapbook of everyone’s pictures for you to look back on with your partner. Photo booths are great at catching the energy of the night and can be tailored to your theme with props, backdrops, or colors!
2. Donations on Behalf of Your Guests
Donations are a great way to give back to a cause that is important to you and your partner. Make a donation to a charity or cause that you care about and let your guests know that in lieu of favors, a donation in their name was made. This is a beautiful way to give back while honoring your wedding guests!
3. Flowers
Another alternative to wedding favors are flowers! Whether you let your guests take home some of your flower decor or a floral centerpiece, this is a good way to save on your budget! This way, if your guests leave the flowers behind, you didn’t waste money on a favor that was only made for the guests!
4. Name Plates/Table Markers
The last wedding favor alternative is a name plate/table marker. When your guests walk into the reception area, have a table with little markers that tell them where their table area is. These markers can be personalized name plates, painted stones, personalized cards, etc! This is another way to save on your budget, by combining your table assignments with the wedding favor to save money and time!
